Thermal night vision camera — see beyond your headlights

A passive thermal imaging camera that reads heat instead of light. It spots vehicles, pedestrians and animals long before your headlights do — in total darkness, through headlight glare, and in fog, rain and snow. Display the thermal view on the included 7-inch AI monitor, or feed it through an Autoconnekt CarPlay interface onto the factory screen.

Two ways to display

Standalone monitor — or your factory screen

The same thermal camera, two display paths. Choose the one that fits the vehicle and the customer.

Standalone kit with 7" AI monitor

Any vehicle · 9–24V · quick install

  • 7-inch in-cabin monitor with built-in AI detection
  • Pedestrians, vehicles and animals highlighted with colour-coded boxes
  • Audible collision warnings keep eyes on the road
  • Compact camera, about 1.4" (36 mm) — grille or licence-plate mount
  • IP69-rated camera with automatic defog, works down to -22°F (-30°C)

Factory-screen integration via Autoconnekt interface

For vehicles with an Autoconnekt CarPlay interface

  • The camera's CVBS output feeds the interface's front-camera input
  • Thermal view appears on the original factory screen — no extra display on the dash
  • Keeps the OEM look luxury-car customers expect
  • One ecosystem: CarPlay / Android Auto, cameras and thermal vision together
  • Ideal add-on for existing Autoconnekt interface owners
Thermal road awareness

Seconds of extra reaction time, every night

Headlights typically reach 100–150 m. The thermal camera sees heat sources far beyond that — and it never gets blinded by oncoming high beams.

Vehicles — 656 ft (200 m)

See stopped or oncoming traffic long before the headlights resolve it, even with glare straight down the road.

Pedestrians — 328 ft (100 m)

Unlit cyclists and pedestrians stand out as bright heat signatures against a cold road surface.

Animals — 262 ft (80 m)

Deer, moose and livestock are detected in the field before they step onto the road — critical on rural routes.

Detection and recognition distances follow standard Johnson criteria and vary with lens option, target size and weather. The integration module is intended for professional installers and product integrators — it pairs naturally with Autoconnekt CarPlay interfaces, whose camera inputs accept the CVBS signal directly.

Who it's for

Built for the roads where darkness is the hazard

  • Rural and wildlife-country driving — deer, moose and livestock collision avoidance at dusk and dawn.
  • Pickup trucks and fleets — long-haul and utility vehicles that run through the night, with 9–24V coverage for 12V and 24V electrics.
  • Off-road and overlanding — trail obstacles, livestock and pedestrians in total darkness, plus camp monitoring.
  • RVs and motorhomes — wildlife on unlit roads, and an extra pair of eyes when parking in the dark.
  • Cargo vans and buses — urban deliveries and night routes with constant pedestrian and cyclist traffic.
  • Autoconnekt interface owners — a natural add-on: thermal view on the factory screen through the existing interface, no extra dash display.
FAQ

Thermal camera questions

  • Does the thermal camera work with Autoconnekt CarPlay interfaces?
Yes. The camera outputs a standard CVBS (PAL) video signal — the same camera input our CarPlay interfaces already use for front and rear cameras. The thermal view can be brought up on the factory screen through the interface, keeping the original OEM look.
  • Can I use the thermal camera without a interface?
Yes. The standalone configuration includes a 7-inch in-cabin monitor with built-in AI that highlights pedestrians, vehicles and animals with on-screen boxes and audible warnings. It works on any vehicle with a 9–24V electrical system.
  • Does thermal imaging work during the day and in bad weather?
Yes. Thermal imaging is passive — it reads heat, not light — so it works in total darkness, through headlight glare, and in fog, haze, rain and snow. The camera is IP69-rated with an automatic defog function and operates down to -22°F (-30°C).
  • Which vehicles can the system be installed in?
Any vehicle with a 9–24V system: sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, cargo vans, buses, RVs and commercial fleets. The compact camera mounts behind the grille or on the licence-plate area.
  • What is the difference between the standalone kit and the integration module?
The standalone kit includes the 7-inch AI monitor and is ready to install in any vehicle. The integration module is a compact CVBS thermal camera intended for custom installations and for displaying the thermal image on the factory screen through an Autoconnekt interface.
